Factory Resetting my phone because the ICS update completely fucked it up
- Got the OTA update before waking up, which took nearly a half hour to complete, and then promptly froze my phone upon completion.
- Had to run to Best Buy Mobile while on my break at work to see if they could do anything. They hard reset my phone, which got it running again, but my battery was completely shot due it being frozen for over three hours straight.
- Got off of work, started charging my phone, and began fiddling around with the UI to see how 4.0 looks and operates. Behold! Apps don’t load! Facebook sync has crashed! My text notifications aren’t playing sounds! I can’t access certain menus in Settings!
I looked around online to see if anyone’s having similar problems, but found next to nothing aside from people recommending that you Factory Reset the phone and start over again. It figures that after waiting for so long to have the update finally be released for the Droid 4, I actually becoming among the very first people to get it (legally), and it fucks everything up! Hopefully the Factory Reset will help the problems at the expense of losing everything on the phone. -_-
